Happy April Fool's Day!
We had some of our friends come over today for a play date.
In honor of April Fool's Day, I had made a Dirt Cake for dessert (it's a layered dessert - the top layer is Oreos crumbled to look like soil), complete with flowers, gummy worms, and a flower pot. I had it sitting on our table during lunch. After lunch was over, my friend Jill started thumbing through the flower pot, grabbed a worm (gummy worm), and started eating it in front of the kids. The older ones looked at her like she was nuts. Most of them never were brave enough to try the dessert after that. The little ones all wanted a worm too - they dug right in!

that's great! the dirt cake looks really cool! i think i'm going to try that. the kids at playgroup would "dig" it...get it? hehe. can you send me the instructions?
