December 29

 Happy Birthday, Nonna!

Starting in early January, the elementary kids at church have a Cereal Bowl (a bracket to narrow down the favorite cereal). I bought 24 boxes of cereal for the first round.

December 28

Clay had to remove the back seat in Julia’s car to replace the struts. He also replaced the passenger-side CV axle in Julia’s car. Then he replaced the struts in my van. He was a mechanic from 11am yesterday until 3am today (16 hours)! Me? I laid in bed and watched TV and rested. My fever is finally gone as of this evening.

Most everyone pitched in this afternoon to get the Christmas decorations put away. Now I need to plan New Year’s Eve!

December 27

Kat and Drew wanted to teach us a new game called Mao. It was a lot of fun!

I went to bed last night and ended up having a fever. I felt fine all day until bedtime. I am hoping this is quick-lived and that nobody else gets sick!

Lucy and I got to hang out with Caleb for a few hours yesterday. He’s so sweet!

December 26

We had a quiet Christmas. Clay and I went to bed before the kids on Christmas Eve, so we filled their stockings Christmas morning and then waited for everyone to wake up. Lucy woke up around 9:30am and woke the rest of the kids up. After presents, the college girls went back to sleep.

December 25

 Merry Christmas!

We had a pretty laid back Christmas Eve. Julia isn’t feeling well, so she mostly slept all day. Clay and Lucy worked on a puzzle while we watched a couple of Christmas movies. Kat spent the morning with Drew.

We attended the Christmas Eve service and then picked up Chinese food for dinner.

Dec 24

We celebrated Christmas with Mamaw and Bapaw last night. Caleb stole the show with his cuteness.

He loved the wrapping paper. He enjoyed tearing it into little pieces.

Past the little guy’s bedtime.

December 23

Julia, Lucy, Clay, and I visited with Old Mamaw yesterday.

Clay replaced one of the CV axles in Julia’s car. He realized that the other one is broken also, so that part is ordered. He’s pretty handy (thanks to YouTube and calls to Joe, who is a mechanic).

A puzzle and Christmas movie. We have had a pretty low-key weekend.

December 19

Yesterday was our annual cookie baking day. Elliott was able to join us for about an hour in between baseball practice and a work shift.

New caching gear arrived.

December 18

Kat and Drew went ice skating last night

Lucy helped me make bracelets/cuffs for a Sunday School craft. She is far more proficient in Canva than I am.

Here’s her design.

We stopped by Elliott’s new job and I was surprised to see him already taking orders! It was his second day of training. He said it was fun. He had PT after he got off work.

Breaking in his new catcher’s mitt. His assistant coach works for Wilson Sporting Goods and got us a heck of a discount on a new pro-style catcher’s mitt. Yay!
