We ran errands yesterday and then went to see Zippo the Clown at the library

Then it was on to Day 3 of VBS. I took my camera with me last night. Elysa has been such a big help at home and at VBS... I may keep her (against her will)!

June 29

VBS started Sunday night. When we're not doing VBS we're being lazy! It is fun, but requires alot of energy. Even Elysa has been going to bed early and taking naps!

Today was Julia's final t-ball game (she's front row in the blue hat)

This afternoon my cousin Elysa arrived from IL for the week. We took her downtown to the park and rode a surrey and also cooled off in the fountains. It was a hot and humid 93 degrees. Ugh!

Our church had a family night aboard the Belle of Louisville, a steamboat. We took a cruise up and down the Ohio River. It was really nice - hot, but nice. This was the hottest day of summer so far with heat indexes over 100 degrees.

Yesterday afternoon we went to a puppet show at the library (if you click on the left photo, you will see that Kat fixed her own hair. She was proud of herself.)

Yesterday morning we went swimming with Mamaw. Julia took her arm floats off and was swimming under water, doggy paddling, jumping in (and belly flopping), opening her eyes under water, and even doing somersaults under water. She was like a little fish!

We went swimming for a couple of hours yesterday morning at our friends' house

Elliott started rolling from his back to his belly last night. He did it once several months ago, but FINALLY decided he can do it whenever he wants!

We went outside to play yesterday as soon as we were done with breakfast. Lately by 10am it's too humid and hot outside.

Last night Clay, Kat, Julia, and I went to a YMCA Kindergarten Countdown event (Elliott hung out with Mamaw Pat). Several of our friends were there too. The kids had a great time.

Hard to believe that in 2 months Julia and Brody will be in Kindergarten!

I still remember them like this! Their first time swimming together, 5 years ago.

June 17

It has been SO hot outside lately that the only way to be outside, is in the water. We met friends for a play date at the zoo's splash park yesterday. Elliott enjoyed himself this time- 3rd times the charm!
