We attended a
Maple Syrup Festival yesterday in Southern Indiana with Peggy. I highly recommend you attend this next weekend. We had cool, but beautiful weather. We all had a great time and enjoyed the fresh air. They demonstrated how Native Americans, pioneers, and present day people get sap from trees.
Proof that I was there - well, most of me was. :P
This is where the sap is put after it is drained from the trees and before it is boiled and turned into syrup.
The kids sampled the sap

Julia helped Lucy through the hay maze.
It's Laura, Mary, and Carrie! Doesn't Lucy look so grown up in this picture? :(
After the kids completed a scavenger hunt, they were treated to some maple cotton candy. Peggy also treated us to some maple candy - yum!

This pictures is really cute, but won't upload correctly, so you will just have to turn your head sideways.
