June 30

 Clay had yesterday off work, so we went to Pizza King for lunch. The train brings your drinks to the table. What's not to love!?!

Since we drove a ways to get to Pizza King, we decided to do something else in the vicinity. Clay took us to McAlpine Locks & Dam. It's an "engineering marvel" according to Clay. It was pretty cool. We got to see a barge come through, watch the doors close, and then watch the water levels drop.

 This one boat pushed 15 barges, which is the equivalent cargo of 870 semi trucks or 2.75 miles of train cargo.

  

 

 

June 29

After dropping Julia off at gymnastics last night, we took Kat, Elliott, and Lucy to see Finding Dory. Super cute movie.

June 28

 We just got back from a long weekend at the lake with Mamaw and Bapaw.

 

 

 

 Kat finished two books.

 

 Kat and Clay went for a run. 

 

 

 Lucy gained about 1.1 million new freckles.

June 25

VBS is done! It was tiring, fun, and, now that it's over I am sure I will miss it.... although I wouldn't have thought that at any point throughout the week.

 

 This was the offering total for the week. The money is going to be used for two different mission projects in town.

 Since the girls gave more money, Isaac got two buckets of ice cold water dumped on him!

 

 

 Rec time was wet - dodgeball with wet sponges

We had friends over for dinner last night. Phil, Scottie, Brady, and Caleb are missionaries in Romania, but are in the US for the summer. It was fun catching up with them after being away for two years.

 

 Still taller - barely! Pretty sure the next time we see them they will tower over me.

 This last picture cracks me up. At 10:45pm, the kids were going strong. The adults? Not so much.
