March 31

Yesterday we stayed home from co-op because Lucy had had a fever Sunday morning. We just did schoolwork at home instead. We only have 24 more days of school left to get in our required number of days! We spent the evening outside enjoying the weather.

Julia showing everyone how to play four-square. Clay had never played before!

Someone needs to show him how to use a broom correctly.

March 30

Since Lucy started with a fever yesterday in the wee hours, I just knew she either had another ear infection or strep throat. I wanted to get it nipped in the bud before Easter. It's a good thing I paid a co-pay at Urgent Care and exposed her to even more cooties to find out her fever was viral. Ugh! I hate that diagnosis.

Her fever was gone by last night, so we dyed Easter eggs. It was the Hulk's first time dyeing eggs.

March 29

I am staying home from church with this little lady. She woke up at 3am with a 102.5 temperature. Aaaahhh! Cold and flu season go away!

March 28

Kat's friend Clara is spending the day/night over here.

Julia got to spend last night at Mamaw and Bapaw's house. And right now Clay is at the movies with Hulk and Elliott seeing Paddington Bear. We're having a divide-and-conquer kind of day. So far, so good.

PS - Clay got up early with Lucy and I got to sleep until 9am. Yay for me (thanks Clay!)!

March 27

Yesterday we went to the dentist for Hulk. His teeth are in bad shape. He is scheduled for surgery for next Wed to have at least 10 teeth extracted. Please pray for him. So far he is taking it in stride and doesn't seem worried about the surgery. Hopefully he maintains this composure Wednesday. His mouth should feel alot better once it heals.

Oh, and how about those Wildcats? 37-0.

March 26

My little Wildcats are ready for the basketball game tonight. Unfortunately it doesn't start until well past the kids' bedtime. Heck, I probably won't be able to stay up until the game is over!

Please pray for Bapaw Rick's knee to heal quickly. He had a procedure done Tuesday and he's uncomfortable.

March 25

We enjoyed the beautiful weather today. The kids played outside for hours.

Both boys got haircuts today. Hulk's mullet is gone! We stayed home from church because Hulk has been running a fever for the past two days. I think it's due to a knot he has in his jaw (from an infected tooth). He is on an antibiotic (NOT amoxicillin since we found out the hard way that he is allergic). He sees a pediatric dentist tomorrow afternoon.

This week in Astronomy, we learned about space rocks (meteroids/asteroids/comets). In class I made  a "comet" using dry ice. And what was the girls' favorite thing about co-op? Why, PE, of course!

Lucy's creative movement class had fun on an obstacle course.

Our Co-op yearbook portraits are in. They turned out pretty cute.

 Julia (age 10), 4th grade

 Kat (age 8), 3rd grade

 Elliott (age 5), preschool

Lucy (age 3), nursery

March 23

Nonna and Grandpa Carroll headed home yesterday morning. We were sad to see them go. It was a nice, but quick visit. For some reason they were in a hurry to get out of our home... I can't imagine why!?! Ha! Enjoy your nice, quiet home Nonna and Grandpa Carroll.

We met up with the H family for lunch after church. We had a party of 12 for just our two families. Tracy, remember when it was just the 4 of us? Ha!

Today we have co-op and then the Hulk has a visit with his Mom. It is the first time he has seen her since he came to our house 3 1/2 weeks ago. He is super excited. Please pray that 1 - she shows up, and 2 - she and I can find some common ground. My goal is to love her like Jesus and make her feel at ease that Hulk is in a good place where he is safe. He is doing really well. He's come a long way in a very short time.

March 22

Happy Birthday Pa-Paw C!

While the boys (and Lucy) had fun playing basketball and watching the NCAA games...

I got to eat lunch with Nonna, Julia, and Kat.

Then we saw the Lion King. It was neat to share it with my mom and the big girls. They are growing up too fast! In the second picture, the two other children played Nala and Simba in the production.

Nonna and Grandpa Carroll got to town last night. The three little ones were in bed, but the older two roped them into a game of Monopoly.

March 20

We have begun some preschool with Hulk and Lucy. There's a chance Hulk will be going to kindergarten in the fall and he needs to learn his letters, etc. Elliott is still learning to read with Hooked on Phonics and is doing great!

March 18

We went to a St Patrick's Day party yesterday. It was a little on the cool and windy side, but the kids still had a good time playing at the park with friends.

We ate dinner at Mamaw and Bapaw's house last night.

These two sweet little cousins are a hoot together.

Mamaw playing a game with the kids.

We made edible Mars Rovers in Astronomy class yesterday.

 Elliott enjoying PE.

 Lucy and her buddy

Someone mentioned at the end of co-op that DQ had free ice cream cones yesterday. Yes please!

March 16

This picture makes me sing "The Hills are Alive" in my head. The Hulk enjoyed his first hike. We went on a short one since it was his first one, and we weren't sure Lucy would keep up with everyone. Both did great. I love hiking!

Clay, Lucy, and I had a date night. Nonna got us tickets for Sesame Street Live for Christmas. It was alot of fun taking Lucy out on a date. She loved having us to herself. We loved it too. I may have gotten a little verklempt when the characters came out on stage.

March 14

Last night didn't go as expected (I almost no longer feel the need to preface each post with this since it seems to be the way of life lately). We were all loaded up in the van to head to Kat's AWANA Grand Prix, when we noticed we had a flat tire. So Clay quickly hopped in his car with Kat. I stayed home with the three youngest (Julia went to a birthday slumber party) since we can't all fit in Clay's car. It was disappointing, but turned out for the best. Kat got to have some 1x1 time with her daddy, and I got the three little ones to bed early and had time to myself! Some days you need more than 10 minutes in a row without someone interrupting you to tattle, ask for food, or asking you to wipe their butt. I may have had a soda and chocolate bar in my bed while watching a chick flick.

And Kat? Well, that little turkey got 1st place in the 3rd grade division and 2nd place overall. Then she and Clay went out for a late dinner to celebrate. She had a fabulous night.

That smile says it all.

March 13

Happy Birthday Lulu!

The kids were feeling better, so we decided to go to a park yesterday afternoon and enjoy the sunshine.

Clay and Kat spent the evening getting her car ready for tonight's AWANA Grand Prix.

Julia went to pillowcase ministry. Love her giving heart.
