June 30

Clay found out yesterday that he is having shoulder surgery in August. This time (he had arthroscopic surgery in college) it is a full-on surgery. They are going to cut one of his shoulder bones and screw it to another bone. Sounds totally disgusting.

I also found out last night that my Dad, Grandpa Tim is having some health issues. Please pray for both of these old men in my life to get healthy!

We went to the zoo with friends yesterday. Everyone in town also decided to go to the zoo - it was crowded! And hot! Ugh!

Last night Elliott and I had a date. We went to McDonald's for dinner, played putt putt, and lazer tag.

June 29

Julia and I had a date yesterday afternoon. Her Summer Bucket List included shopping at Claire's and getting Starbucks. We headed to the mall and fulfilled her bucket list items. We also bought her some new sandals since her toes were hanging over the edge of her other sandals. She's a pretty cool kid.

Then last night Elliott got "Mommy Daddy time" after the other kids went to bed. We played a game, made brownies, and watched a cartoon snuggled up on the couch.

I wish I could give all my kids my undivided attention all the time. They thrive on it. But it's impossible! It's fun being able to say "Yes" to every little request. That's not possible either when all five kids are together. However, I think it's good for them to grow up not getting that ALL the time. Having siblings is good for them too. They are all pretty neat kids one on one. Sometimes they are a little overwhelming all together. All the bickering, energy, etc. Oy vey!

The boys had their last t-ball game yesterday. They both enjoyed t-ball. Hulk was especially sad it's over. He was extremely proud of the medals they received- his first award! If we play again next season, hopefully the boys will know the difference between t-ball and football. You do NOT tackle people in t-ball - ESPECIALLY your own teammates!

Clay and I had a date yesterday. We hung out with Papaw G for lunch, went on a hike, and then saw a movie. This is our first selfie together. We. Look. Ridiculous. #toooldforselfies

When it's 90+ degrees outside for the umpteenth day in a row, you get creative in finding ways to stay cool outside.

We introduced Hulk to Pizza King yesterday. What's not to love about a train that brings your drinks!?!

We went to another art museum with our Cultural Pass.

We stopped for ice cream before heading home. I may have bribed the kids with ice cream if they behaved in the art museum. :P

June 25

We met Shannon and her kids at The Little Loomhouse yesterday. This was also on the Cultural Pass that we got from our library.

The kids learning the history of the loomhouse. The fireplace on the left is where the Hill sisters first sang "Happy Birthday to You".

June 24

We met up with Shannon and her kids yesterday for a tour of the Printing House for the Blind. We also had Jonathan with us, which made 11 children total between the two families. We got our own private tour because they thought we were a daycare. Ha!

Lucy and Amelia didn't want to get in the picture... so this is only 9 of the kids.

Elliott now has two gaps in his mouth.

While Julia had gymnastics last night, I took the other four to a playground/splash park.

Happy Father's Day!
 Happy 5th Birthday Hulk!

We celebrated Hulk's birthday yesterday with friends and family. It was his first birthday party and he enjoyed it.

Hulk's Mom gave him a bike for his birthday.

Five Years Old!

We smashed ice cream cones with Hulk fists... oy vey! This was a HUGE mess. Wet deck + ice cream cones = glue! Seriously. The cones were STUCK to the bottom of our feet/shoes.

We decided to move the mess inside by using our Spiderman webs (silly string) to get the bad guys.
