June 30

We checked out a new-to-us place yesterday. $5 per person for putt putt, roller skating, a playground, and a splash park. The kids decided the splash park looked kind of babyish, so we headed downtown to the waterfront.

They had a blast.

Final night of VBS and the kids raised $7000!!! They are purchasing beds for foster kids through the orphan care alliance.

June 29

Shoo! Physical therapy got me all kinds of sweaty. I am, unfortunately, still using the blood flow restriction machine. I have had to use it while doing leg presses, riding the stationary bike, and usually on kickouts.

I may have lost my mind, but Lucy is hosting a sleepover with Ava and Clara. They used my room and I moved into Lucy’s room. They totally took over my room and made a “chill area” and added decorative pillows to the bed.

Elliott spent the day with a wrestling teammate riding dirt bikes and go-karts. Thankfully he didn’t break his neck!

Third night of VBS. The kids are having a blast!

Clay hiked up Manitou Springs last night. He said his lungs and legs were gassed!

On the way to night 2 of VBS. Just wanted to post a pic of the 15 year-old who won’t let me take her picture. She took this and even sent it to me!

June 27

After church, Elliott, Lucy, and I went to the science center.

We took a few neighbors with us to VBS.

Clay finally had a day in Colorado that he didn’t have to work, so he went on a hike in the Rocky Mountain National Park.

June 25

I went to a VBS meeting at church. Kat, Elliott, and I are volunteering. We are bringing Clara, Ava, Asher, Braxton, and Lucy (duh). Everyone gets a shirt!

After the meeting I had physical therapy. She commented that my walk is starting to look a lot better. Although I have a weird crunchy sound in my knee. Nikki said it could be swelling or it could be arthritis. Yikes! Hoping it’s swelling. I emailed her this picture  (in the green) and her response it above it.

Lucy and I watched the new Ghostbusters movie last night. After Lucy went to bed, Kat and I watched a new show together, but she won’t let me take her picture (insert eye roll). Why can’t they stay 10!?!

Julia and Elliott were at the lake with Mamaw and Bapaw all day.

June 24

Both teens are working 30+ hours per week, so Clay gave the grass cutting job to Elliott.

While Elliott was cutting grass I filled four yard waste buckets with twigs and branches off this patio and then I swept it. It’s nice to be able to do some physical things again.

On Wednesday, I was able to go down the steps with my feet on alternating steps. That was the first time since my injury in February that I could go down the stairs normal-ish.

Mamaw and Bapaw took Elliott and these two monkeys to Kentucky Kingdom for the day.

Kat, Julia, Raymond, and I went to the photography studio to get Julia and Raymond’s yearbook portraits taken.

They clean up pretty nicely!

June 22

Lucy stayed the night at a friend’s house and both teens were at work yesterday, so it was just me and Elliott. He suggested Chuck-E-Cheese for lunch. We made sure to send Clay pictures to make him jealous.

We also went to a pet store to play with puppies.

Sanaad took jiu jitsu with Elliott years ago. Then his family moved back to the Middle East. Recently they moved back and Sanaad is back at the gym. Elliott joined him in the adult boxing class last night.

Silly Lucy made this in Sunday School…hopefully nobody saw her make this! Ha!

We grilled out yesterday for Father’s Day and had a nice visit with everyone.

Clay left last night for two weeks in Colorado…
