Happy Halloween!

Prayer Request: First of all a praise that Stu was admitted into rehab. The day before they told Stu he was too debilitated for rehab, but yesterday the doctors changed their minds. He will be there for 2-3 weeks trying to recover from a stroke. God is good! However, last night my Mom fell down the basement steps and bruised her ribs. Pray for a quick healing so that she can assist with Stu's rehab. It will be difficult to help lift and move Stu with bruised ribs!

Yesterday I spent quite awhile organizing all the girls' baby clothes, taking pictures, and posting them on Craigslist. Four years of pink clothes takes up alot of storage space!

Last night we had a picnic dinner in front of the TV while we watched "The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown". After dinner, we carved and painted pumpkins.

Elliott had his two month check-up yesterday. He weighs 11lbs, 9.5 oz and is 23 1/2 inches long. That means in 2 months time he has grown 4 inches and gained 4lbs, 3 oz! I didn't realize how much he'd grown until I saw a newborn in the waiting room. He looked huge compared to her! He got two shots, poor little guy! Thanks Mamaw for watching the girls!

The girls have been acting fine. Julia's got a cough first thing in the morning, and both girls have low-grade fevers, but otherwise act fine. Julia's tummy troubles haven't gone away - even on the BRAT diet. We went outside after naps to enjoy the pretty weather and play in the leaves.

October 29

I had order clothes for Elliott for next Summer and Fall (it was fun buying colors other than pink!). They arrived Tuesday night, so I laid them out on the floor to look at them. The girls apparently decided that we should cover every inch of the living room floor, so they put their cards every where (Kat must be OCD too, look how she lined them up).

I laid these and some crackers, pretzels, bread, etc. on the counter yesterday and told the girls they could eat as much of it as they wanted, whenever they wanted (Kat loved that). Gotta love the BRAT diet!

We watched alot of TV yesterday. The girls are at easier ages now when they don't feel good. They are content to watch movies, color, play quietly, etc.

Elliott sporting a mohawk - what a little punk rocker! Kat and I had a good time styling and combing his hair. Kat is really enjoying Elliott lately and he seems to light up when she is around. She was upset that she couldn't touch him or get too close yesterday.

Kat loves to sing (this video is from Tuesday)! Aunt Jessica, the girls love their new cd. Thanks!

Elliott is 2 months old today!

It appears that today we are going to be hanging out at home all day. Julia and Kat are both having tummy issues, and Julia also has a cough and it's looking like she might be getting pink eye. We were supposed to go to the Fall Festival at church tonight, but it's looking like we're going to stay in and try and get over all these cooties so we can go trick-or-treating this weekend. Gotta love cold and flu season!

My friend Aimee took our pictures when Elliott was 2 weeks old (he's really filled out since then!) and I got the cd in the mail yesterday. Here are some of the pictures she took. They turned out great (of course, I am biased!).

October 27

Today I dropped the girls off at school and then went to Cafe Mom. I went out to lunch with a friend from church and then ran a couple of errands before picking the girls up from school. It's raining, so I think tonight we're going to have a family game night.

No update on Stu today yet. Please continue to pray for his health and his salvation.

UPDATE: Stu did have a large stroke on the right side of his brain. They will be meeting with doctors tomorrow to see what the plan of action is going to be. He has been suffering from stage 4 lung cancer for nearly three years.

ORIGINAL POST: This morning my Mom called to tell me that Stu (my Step-Dad) was exhibiting stroke-like symptoms and that the doctor was sending them to the hospital to have an MRI to see if he had a stroke or if his cancer is spreading (he has Stage 4 lung cancer). As of 3pm today, they still had not received the MRI and his symptoms are getting worse. Pray for them!

We met Mamaw Pat at the zoo and got to enjoy some beautiful Fall weather.

Some pictures from the past few days:

Elliott makes a nice centerpiece, don't you agree?

Jenny, you may need to open up your market for hair accessories to the senior crowd. Papaw looks stylish, doesn't he? Even asleep!
