Lucy’s Victorian Manners co-op class had a field trip to a local Victorian home, the Conrad-Caldwell mansion, built in 1895. Honestly, I didn’t have high hopes for this field trip because we’ve toured other historic homes and the kids didn’t always enjoy them. The tour guide was great! She kept their attention -and for nearly 2 hours 😳. Even Elliott said it was good... and that is saying something!
The wife of the Conrad family was into quilting. The floor designs all looked like different kinds of quilts. They were beautiful.
This chandelier is made from one piece of wood. Wood!
The kids enjoyed beating a rug. 😂
