Clay took yesterday off work so we could go to the fair. Julia and Raymond came after school got out. Kat stayed home to do schoolwork (I think she just doesn’t like to be seen in public with her super cool parents).
Kentucky Sports Radio was doing their live radio show at the fair.
This is made out of paper! Teeny tiny bits of paper!
Doesn’t everyone get their blood pressure checked at the fair?
His jaw was sore from that gumball
We were some of the few people in the crowd at this Wheel of Agriculture game show, so we were the contestants!
This Grandma could play the drums.
Behind the scenes of the bee photo. Tall people problems.
If a chicken were a Star Wars character
Raymond wasn’t cooperating
There’s a story behind this. I may have said something to try and get Raymond to smile. The teens did not find my humor funny.
After the fair, Elliott had baseball practice again. He learns something new at every practice. This time he learned that you don’t take a hundred practice swings if you don’t have a batting glove. He has a nasty blister on his thumb now. He’s getting a batting glove today.
Then, because THAT wasn’t enough for one day, Elliott went to the middle school youth group back-to-school party. Someone wrote on his face with permanent marker. No worries-he got paid a generous dollar for this middle school boy stupidity. He came home and used nail polish remover to take it off, which he proceeded to spill all over the the bathroom floor and cabinet. Did I mention I was tired?
