Update:
Julia had an appointment with the orthodontist this morning to get impressions made. The orthodontist came into the lobby and said that if we had time, he could go ahead and start her braces. He had some time open up in his schedule. So, an hour later, she walked out of there with braces! She said she liked it that way (not knowing a month in advance that they were going to be put on) because she wasn't anxious.

This girl used to beg me to go to bed if we were staying up late. Now she resorts to doing schoolwork if it will delay bedtime... this is today's schoolwork that she was working on last night. I guess it worked - she stayed up later and got her grammar and vocab done for the week. Goofy girl.
