​Clay and I headed to the lake, after his birthday dinner, for a quick overnight trip. He wanted to fish. The lake was a hot mess with debris because we had so much rain last week. The lake levels rose 15 feet in a week! 

The plan was for Clay to fish and for me to read. I did fish for about 30 minutes but got bored because the fish weren’t biting.

I couldn’t keep my eyes open enough to read, so I mostly napped. Ha!

Clay caught around 6 or 7 fish in 3 hours, but these were the only two keepers…

Lucy, Abbie, Mamaw, and Bapaw walked 21,000 steps at Universal Studios Epic Universe.
