December 5

Yesterday was our final co-op of the semester, which meant that we had pizza, cookies, and presentations. I love our co-op. It absolutely wears me out prepping for it, but I love the families and I love that my kids love it.

Anatomy class had to exercise for 5 minutes and then blow into a straw. The cup had water and Bromothymol blue in it. When the students blew into the straws, the Bromothymol blue had a chemical reaction with the carbon dioxide. We just finished learning about the respiratory system.

I gave my 3rd and 4th grade Flying Creatures a final exam. Most of these students had never taken a test like this, and especially not in a classroom setting. It was good for them to get this experience. This test was not easy. There were 54 multiple choice, true false, and fill-in-the blank questions. I am fairly confident that most adults wouldn't do well on this test. These kiddos nailed it! The average score was 95%!

Proud of Elliott! Not only did he do awesome, but he's only in second grade and he did as well/better than the 3rd and 4th graders.

At assembly time we sang Happy Birthday to Lucy

Kat is in the back on the left. It's hard to see her - especially because she hid when she saw me. Turd.

I didn't think Lucy would do this. She does NOT like to be on stage or have people staring at her. Look at her! Her kindergarten insect class sang a song for everyone.

Lucy's My America class presentation

Julia's sign language class also did a presentation

We had time to kill between co-op  and dropping Julia off at gymnastics, so we went to a park. It was 67 degrees out!

We brought a couple of Kat's friends home from co-op with us.
