Lucy did schoolwork at the party barn yesterday while Elliott was at woodworking. He made shelves for Kat’s wall. She wanted bookshelves and he needed a project idea. Win win! 

Julia has to give a presentation on a serial killer in her Forensic Science class.

March 16

Gus’s snoring often disrupts schoolwork. He always sleeps right behind my chair.

March 15

In line at o’dark 30 to register Kat and Elliott for classes next year. It’s first come, first serve, so to ensure that we get a specific class that Kat wants, we had to arrive early. Thankfully they let us wait inside because it was 28 degrees outside.

March 14

Elliott’s PE class was outside yesterday in the 40 degree weather. The assistants stayed warm inside, while offering their support by rating the kids’ exercises. Ha!

Lucy got to get a prize out of the claw machine at church for her good behavior. They choose five kids each week.

We went to Wal-Mart after church. Not one employee was at a lane to check customers out. I just loved using self checkout for a full cart. I detest Wal-Mart. I just need a reminder now and again of why Meijer is better.

Elliott had his wrestling banquet yesterday. We found out that he is, in fact, eligible to wrestle next year. Ugh! Happy for him. For me? Not so much. It is a lot. 

March 12

Kat is trying to earn some money until her job at Kentucky Kingdom starts back up. Clay had her pick up all the dog poop in the backyard and the leaves we didn’t get to this fall. We are thankful that we decided, ahead of time, to pay her by the job instead of an hourly wage. It took her hours. Clay ended up helping her some.

March 11

Happy 13th Birthday Maddy!

Lucy went to a church event with Nadia last night. She comes home this afternoon.

Elliott also had a church event (middle school game night) at our church. That means it was just Clay and I at home with Julia and Kat. We ordered Chinese takeout, got some treats (candy and cookie dough), and watched a show together. It was nice…. Except the show was a little scary for me. It was worth it though, to actually have the teens hang out with us.

March 10

Kat and I took a tour of WKU yesterday. It’s a pretty campus with friendly people. She liked it far better than EKU, but possibly not as much as UK. UK seems to be growing on her. She and I had a good day together, which I am thankful for. She drove us home for an hour before she got tired. She’s still got a ways to go before getting her driving hours in, but she is finally getting more confident behind the wheel.
