Since the social distancing due to Corona virus, grocery stores have reduced their hours (to allow more time for cleaning and restocking), made the first hour for the elderly and people who are immune-compromised, added clear plastic shields to protect cashiers, and limited the number of high-demand items (meat, eggs, milk, tp, cleaning products, and paper towels). Now they have one door for entering and one for leaving. They have employees at the doors to make sure that one person is allowed in for every person that leaves. And the line to get in has cones to show you where to stand (6 feet apart). I was at the store first thing and it was pretty well stocked... except no tp or paper towels, which I thankfully didn’t need to purchase.

I always feel weird grocery shopping. I feel like I need to explain to people that I am not hoarding food. This is one week’s groceries for our family. It. Is. Ridiculous.

One good thing to come from this? Between low gas prices, Kroger fuel points, and infrequent driving, I spent less than $20 on gas... and it should last a month!

Clay is home this week, so he helped Elliott with a science experiment on skin sensitivity. Using paper clips open at different increments, he touched Clay on his back, stomach, arms, legs, face, etc to decide where the most sensitive skin is.

Thank goodness Kat is good at math. Every time I grade it I don’t even know most of what I am grading!
