March 12

The weather yesterday afternoon was awesome - sunny and 65 degrees. We enjoyed some fresh air.

Happy Birthday, Maddy!

Lucy has had a fever off and on since Friday. Elliott stayed home from preschool yesterday and today for a fever. I decided it was time for a doctor's visit. Lucy's fever was her only symptom (no complaints of anything hurting). She has an ear infection. And what about a 5 year-old boy who had a fever yesterday, but none today? And no complaints of anything hurting him either? Why yes, strep throat it is! Ugh! To top it off, poor little Hulk has broken out in a rash/hives. Our pediatrician looked him over and said it looks like he is allergic to the Amoxicillin the dentist prescribed a week ago. Poor little dude is covered and itchy. It has made for a very cranky day for all three little ones.

It was in the mid-50syesterday so we played outside for a little while.

March 9

Clay stayed home from church with Lucy, who still had a fever. Kat was my helper in Sunday School. She was a great little helper.

Elliott went to a Frozen birthday party yesterday afternoon for a little girl in his preschool class. The Mom informed me that this little girl has a crush on Elliott. Elliott now has two little girls that have "crushes" on him. Thank goodness he is totally oblivious! Since when do 5 year-olds get crushes? I am not ready to share my little guy. He's mine, ladies!

Would you believe me if I told you that most of the snow is melted and I found some signs of spring today?!? Yippee!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Carroll!!!
The mailman finally picked up the mail, so your card is finally on its way!

Captain Elliott. Mamaw Pat has been working hard to make Elliott this Blue Angels Flight suit. Isn't he a handsome little pilot?

The Hulk's fever is gone. Lucy woke up with a temp of 100 degrees yesterday. Thankfully it appears to be a 24 hour thing. So far just a fever and nothing more.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Carroll!!!

March 7

I am going to start referring to the new little guy as the Hulk since that is his favorite superhero. Anyways, Hulk had a doctor's appointment scheduled for yesterday. It's a good thing too since he woke up with a fever of 100. Clay was off work because of the weather, so he took Hulk to his appointment. I stayed home with the rest of the rugrats and we added Jonathan to the mix.

We had fun playing outside for a little while. The sun was shining, which was nice, but it was around 25 degrees, with a windchill of about 16. With temperatures set to start rising this weekend (it will be in the 60s in less than a week - hurray!), the biggest concern here is the rivers flooding. It is times like this I am thankful to live on a hill.

The kids made a few jumps in their sledding path.

Kat was trying to take a nap in the snow. A concerned Gus was checking on her. Gus loves the snow. As soon as he sees the kids getting on their snow gear he get very excited.

March 5

You wouldn't believe me if I told you that I had just done laundry 4 days ago, would you? Actually, this also includes sheets and towels... so it's more than four days worth of laundry. Thank goodness for a super large capacity washing machine! Wonder if I could talk Clay into a second one? Ha!

After running an errand yesterday, we came home and the kids found Beanie Babies in their bedrooms. Aunt Jessica, for the win! The kids loved them Jessica... the new little guy slept with his.

It rained most of yesterday. It was warm enough to melt most of the snow we got two weeks ago... and then we woke up to this:
It's still coming down.

We saw on the news this morning that cars are stuck sitting on the interstate. The newswoman told people that when your car runs out of gas, to find a car that has gas and get inside. Yikes! I believe we will be staying home today...people are calling this Snowmageddon 2!

Our new little guy is excited about the snow... he's never been sledding. Clay is home with us today too, so it should be a fun day of sledding, hot chocolate, movies, and snuggles.

March 4

This post originally started out with a big laundry list of all the things I had to do yesterday. It was one of the craziest days ever. Take my normal crazy Tuesday and amp it up - ALOT! But as I tucked in five healthy and safe children into their nice warm beds last night, I was feeling very blessed, so I deleted all my complaining. We really are very very blessed.

Please keep praying for our new little dude and his family.

No pictures were taken... it was that crazy!

March 3

Yesterday was co-op day. Lucy looks like such a big girl in this picture.

It was our new little guy's first time in a classroom setting (beside Sunday school two days ago). He enjoyed it, and was particularly proud of himself when he was cutting with scissors for the first time. He was exhausted halfway through the fourth hour and asked if it was dark outside (it was 1:30pm). Needless to say, he fell asleep on the way home.

Last night was Kat's basketball awards. She had a fun season and improved each week. Very proud of her!

Tonight is Elliott's basketball awards. Our new little guy has already caught on to the fact that we stay busy. He now asks at bedtime what we are doing the next day. Going places is "exhausting" for him. He passes out in the car almost every single time.
