Happy 2nd Birthday Maddy!

At 3 months old, Lucy is smiling pretty regularly, eating every 2-3 hours, sleeping at least 7-8 hours in the night before her first feeding (9pm until around 5 am), coos, loves her mobile and bouncy seat, doesn't really care for the swing, no longer likes a pacifier (she is trying to get her thumb in her mouth - doh!), has pretty sturdy neck control, and is just about the sweetest baby (as long as she is pooping regularly)! She went through a 2 week period where she didn't poop much and was gassy, but that seems to have passed and she is back to her sweet self.

March 9

On Tuesday my friend Katrina and I met Mamaw and Jessica at a huge children's consignment sale. We shopped and shopped and then shopped some more. Afterwards we were super thirsty and hungry, so we went to Frisch's for lunch.

Abby has magical powers. Elliott has been fascinated with her from the getgo. Here is Lucy trying to talk to Abbie! She was cooing at her. They are going to have alot of fun growing up together.

Look at her hair! She's only 5 months old!

My friend Tracy snatched this up on the first day of the consignment sale for Elliott. She knows him well. He LOVES this "airplane game".

Elliott has started talking in sentences now. He strings together three, four, and five words. This time last year he was being evaluated for speech therapy because he barely spoke - mostly made a grunting sound. Now we can't get him to shut up!

What you looking at!?!

Finally got a couple of pictures of Lucy smiling. Couldn't decide which one I liked better! See that dimple on her right cheek? Love it!!!!

March 7

We went to Wee Rock yesterday.

Last night after dinner we decided to go to a park and take a hike. We had beautiful Spring weather (hard to believe Elliott and I made a snowman Monday morning). We found a new hiking trail and started off all together. The first 10 minutes were great. That is until Clay got the great idea to walk up a hill (off the trail!) with the girls. I continued on the path with Elliott and Lucy. After awhile I started getting nervous because I had no idea where Clay and the girls were. Then I started getting mad that he left the trail, and left me with the two youngest. Thankfully Elliott was a little trooper and walked a good majority of the trail. It was not a flat trail either; we went up and down two pretty large hills. After awhile it was getting dark and I was getting scared, which made me angrier at Clay. I had all kinds of thoughts running through my head. I thought about turning around, but wasn't sure if it was faster just to keep going and get to the end, so I kept going. I also thought about stopping and waiting for Clay to find us. If the sun weren't starting to set, that is probably what I would have done. Around the halfway point I had Elliott on my back (with Lucy in the Moby wrap on my front). That's about 40 extra pounds (my thighs, lower back, and arms are all sore today). I also was nervous that Clay and the girls were lost on a much longer trail. I had no idea where they were. We finally met up with each other at the end of the trail. They had gotten to the top of the hill and followed the trail for awhile, but when they didn't run into us, they turned around and went back to the beginning. We found each other after being separated for about an hour. Thankfully Elliott was a good little hiker and Lucy slept the entire time. It was pretty much dark outside by the time we reached our van. It's always an adventure! (FYI: the trail is a 1.5 mile loop)

We didn't have much snow yesterday morning, but it was perfect snowman-making snow. *This picture was on the 4 o'clock and the 10 o'clock local news. I posted it on the WDRB Facebook page and some friends informed me they saw him on the news! My wee dude is famous! :P

Elliott also had fun throwing snowballs at Gus.

Crazy weather this weekend! Friday we had 70 degree weather, sunshine, then storms with hail and tornadoes. This morning we woke up with snow! I think we've had every kind of weather in one weekend!

Happy Birthday Pukey Stuckey!

Yesterday proved to be an interesting weather day around here. Thankfully the girls did not have school, so we just stayed home. Nearby counties dismissed schools early, the University of Kentucky cancelled classes, and daycares closed early because of the threat of severe weather. Peggy came over to hang out with us since we have a basement. Most of the tornadoes hit just north of here. We went down to the basement for a little while when the sirens went off. Clay drove home in a hail storm, but arrived safely.

Clay took Thursday off work to go on Julia's field trip to see "Mr Stinkyfeet" sing and play guitar.

March 1

I can't believe it's already March! This year is already zooming by too fast! Not that I want winter to stick around, but I wish time would slow down. I spent yesterday morning putting away Lucy's 0-3 month baby clothes and getting out the 3-6 month clothes. She's my first baby to outgrow her clothes before she reaches the age for the clothes! It will be funny if my smallest newborn ends up being my biggest kid!

Kat's class is celebrating Dr Seuss's birthday today, so we made Green Eggs and Ham and the Cat in the Hat's hat. She is also taking in some Pink Yink Ink Drink (pink lemonade). All are ideas I got from Pinterest.

Last night was Goofy Getup night at AWANA. Really, they always look pretty goofy.

Mamaw came over yesterday to get a picture of Lucy in Mamaw's baby dress.
