June 15

Yesterday we met Katrina, Nathaniel, and Madeline for a bowling play date. It was alot of fun. Katrina brought Sprite and Oreos for the kids to snack on, so Kat was in heaven!

Julia spent the night with Mamaw last night, so we took Kat and Elliott out for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Kat got to participate in a peanut-stomping competition.

We just got home from the lake. We went swimming, fishing, boating, had 'Smores, caught lightning bugs, and swam some more.

June 11

Last night friends gave us a 12 inch bike for Kat. She wasn't too excited about trying it out, but hopefully she'll start enjoying it soon!

Last day of swim lessons. The girls loved it!

Water-logged Elliott having a great time!

June 10

After the girls' swim lessons, we met Natalie and Parker for lunch.

We went to the library for "What's in Your Backyard" this afternoon

First in the video is Kat swimming with a float on her back. Then Julia is kicking at the wall. Not the best quality of video... sorry

Here are some pictures from Clay's trip to New Mexico last month:

The Very Large Array (this is in the movie "Contact" with Jodie Foster)

They took a tram up to the top of this mountain.

Roswell, NM

Jumping the dunes at White Sands. I think this was the highlight of their "work" trip.

June 9

When Elliott is on his back, he lays there and screams. He's still only rolled from his back to his belly once!

After swim lessons, the girls like to play in the splash park at the pool

Day 3 and the girls still LOVE it! I think they will miss it when it's done.

Getting ready to go down the slide into the pool. They do this at the end of every swim lesson

Swim lessons are hard work! Kat feel asleep on the way home this morning.

Elliott's been waving hello for about a week.

June 7

Last night the girls and I had a "date night". We went to the ampitheatre to see Music Theatre Louisville. They sung a few songs from Annie, which the girls loved. We ran into Kat's friend Hannah (in picture) and also some friends from church.

This week the girls have swim lessons. They did great - they were some of the only kids who didn't cry/cling to their teachers. Although Kat kept asking me for food while she was in the pool in the middle of her lessons!

After swim lessons, we dropped Kat off with Mamaw to spend the night and Julia, Elliott and I went to the library to see a presentation on "How Filters Work" by the water company. We were supposed to be using the magnifying glass to look at water samples... but this was more fun!

June 5

Our plan to wear the kids out yesterday worked! I had to wake them all up this morning for Julia's t-ball game.

Julia stopped the ball!

After t-ball, we went to a graduation party for Clay's boss' daughter - with all 5 rugrats! Thankfully they all behaved really well. Then we went to a radio-controlled airplane show. Brady LOVES airplanes. I mean really REALLY loves them. He, Julia, and Clay enjoyed the show. Kat and Caleb were more excited about the cheese puffs and Twizzlers. It was really hot outside!

We came home, had a pizza picnic, took baths, and the kids are watching E.T. right now. They should sleep good tonight.

You'd never know that Elliott only had a couple of 20 minute naps here and there today. Here he is after his bath tonight. He's so easy-going and happy!

Who needs toys!?! He has had more fun today with a water bottle, a box, and now this piece of paper!

Elliott now has 4 teeth and he crawled from one end of the house to the other tonight looking for me! He's REALLY on the move now!
