Elliott had a Varsity scrimmage tonight. His team won 9-7. Elliott got to play third base three or four innings and made a few outs. He was on deck to bat when the inning ended, so he didn’t get a chance to hit.

Lucy had to be at church at 8:10am to greet. With the time change, that made for a very early morning.

Happy Birthday, Grandpa Carroll!

Every once in awhile I get a glimpse of Elliott still resembling a little boy. Between the zoo, a youth group event, and baseball practice earlier today, this guy was worn out. 

March 7

Clay had already worked 80 hours between last week and Monday-Thursday of this week, so he had today off work. We headed to the zoo after Elliott and Lucy got their schoolwork done.

Jelani the gorilla is Tik Tok famous for watching videos and pics of gorillas on phones. One of his videos has over 60 million views.

Tigers are solitary animals… unless they are mating. The zookeeper who was keeping an eye on these two was very informative. Fun fact: male tigers have barbs on their genitalia. They think it’s to stimulate the female’s ovulation. Either way, that doesn’t sound pleasant for the female!

This boy went to the KY Kingdom job fair, introduced himself to the different department supervisors, had an interview, and came out with a lifeguard position for the summer. So proud of him! We practiced interview questions and skills, but he didn’t hesitate to go into the job fair by himself. I admire his confidence.


Woohoo! We survived February. Bring on Spring and baseball games!

March 2

Clay and Elliott went to the UK game yesterday with Mamaw and Bapaw. Mamaw got her picture taken with a former UK player who is 7’3”. This picture cracks me up! It is not photoshopped. 

Lucy and I went to a Girls Conference at church and then she went to a game night with friends. Busy day!
