June 7

This little guy has been having stomach issues. For the past few months, he randomly throws up about once a month. He seems fine, suddenly throws up, and then he's fine again. He also complains of stomach pain every week or two. I took him in to the doctor to get him checked out. We are supposed to keep a log of everything he eats, when he poops, complains of stomach pain, throws up,  etc. and then go back next month. He is 47 1/4 inches (10th %). Still my Wee Dude.

They surprised us with snow (bubbles) in the worship rally last night - it was a hit!

Apparently Elliott has entered Kat's silly face phase

Here's Kat's crew - she is loving this week as a big kid, getting to know the leaders in the youth group.

For recreation, the kids got to play with "Snow" (a mixture of conditioner and baking soda)
and have a snowball fight. It was a mess, but the kids had a blast!

Kindergarten and 1st grade up on the stage leading the music (Lucy's in the front row about 1/3rd of the way from the right side)

June 6

Rec time was melting ice cubes with water from squirt guns - not sure how this burns off energy, but the kids enjoyed it.

This is Kat's last year to attend VBS. Where has the time gone?

Kindergartners and 1st graders enjoying music. There are around 300 kids in VBS this year.

The sky was awesome when we left church last night. Storm clouds on one side, beautiful sunset on the other side.

June 5

Day 1 of VBS is in the books. Always so fun... and SO TIRING! This year it is at night, which means I am out way past my bedtime!

Julia is too old to attend VBS this year, but she is a youth helper (on the 2 nights this week that she doesn't have gymnastics)

June 4

Mamaw took Elliott, Kat, and Lucy to Elliott's belt stripe test in jiu jitsu Friday night. He earned his next stripe. They went out for ice cream to celebrate afterwards.

Friday night I took Julia to her gymnastics banquet. She was selected for the "Coaches Choice" trophy out of the level 3s for her great attitude, hard work ethic, and being a good teammate. We are very proud of her. On to level 4!

Poor Clay had to work late and missed out on all the fun. That was kind of how his whole week went.
It was only a four day week, but he worked well over 40 hours.

June 3

After Tracy, the kids, and I got our VBS room "decorated" (minimally), we headed to a splash park to cool off.

These two were filling their mouths with water and then spitting it at each other - BOYS!

June 2

Yesterday was Jonathan's first day with us- it officially feels like summer now.

We went to Taco Bell for lunch because it's Jonathan's favorite.

Then we went to open gym.

Elliott and Kat competed in a chess tournament last night.

We also went to the library, the bank, grocery store, Hobby Lobby, dropped off/picked up Lucy for a play date with Mamaw, Bapaw, and Abbie, took Jonathan home, and dropped off/picked up Julia from gymnastics. I put over 100 miles on my car in one day and was gone for 10 hours, just running around town. Saturday there is nothing on the agenda and I plan to do nothing. VBS starts Sunday and I need to rest up- I am getting old!

June 1

We went strawberry picking (and eating) with Mamaw and Bapaw yesterday.

Elliott cut them all up (made freezing them much easier)!

Here are Julia's pictures:

Braces and strawberries - what a mess!
