October 13

We spent a little time with Joe’s crew last night before they head back to FL. 

October 12

Lucy went to a high school Bible study last night. The kids were hanging out I got there. Elliott was at work.

October 11

Despite the anticipated weather coming through from the remnants of Hurricane Isaias, we headed to Lexington for the UK vs LSU football game yesterday. Knowing it was sold out, we got there early to find parking. Our walk from where we parked to the Kroger tailgating tent was wet and it rained for a little white while we were in the tent, but the game stayed dry! It was breezy and chilly, but not bad. If only our feet had been dry! The game? 100% worth wet feet for hours. We won in overtime and the crowd (not us) stormed the field. I am pretty sure had Elliott not just had wisdom teeth surgery, he would have joined them on the field. It was pretty electric! We got home at 1:30am… I took a nice nap after church this afternoon.

October 9

Elliott went to a friend’s house to hang out and then to watch his team’s baseball game. He was going stir crazy at home. He is only taking Motrin for pain/swelling. He hasn’t taken hydrocodone since 4:30pm on Wednesday because he doesn’t want to be constipated-ha! 

I went to the gym with Clay last night. I am officially down 20 pounds with many more to go. Clay is down 15+ pounds, but doesn’t need to lose much more.

October 7

Wisdom teeth extraction day for Elliott. He was pretty loopy on the ride home. He seemed to manage the pain/discomfort pretty well. His buddy Bryson hung out with him all afternoon/evening. 

October 6

We had a great day at the pumpkin patch. Kat and Drew headed back to school tonight. 

October 5

We went to Boo at the Zoo with Joe and Bob’s crew, and Mamaw and Bapaw. We were only missing Julia and Elliott (working).

October 4

I have been under the weather since Wednesday night. I had a 101 temp and then 100 for a couple of days. I am fever free now, but have chest tightness/congestion and I am going to lose my voice. Starting cold and flu season out with a bang!

​Clay left work early on Thursday to “take care of me”- ha! Really, he just needed more daylight hours to get his grass seed and fertilizer down. I was happily chilling on the couch, watching “Sleepless in Seattle”. He took a little nap before heading out to finish the yard.

Friday morning I was feeling better, so I went in to work and put all the swing covers back on and put the rug back in (I had taken all fabric out to wash/steam). I must have overdone it because my temp came back that night-although I didn’t feel bad. 

Lucy went to a volleyball game and out for pizza with Lauren and her family Friday night. 

Kat got home around 8pm Friday night. She was home for about a half hour before heading to a Haunted House with a friend. 

Saturday morning Kat and Lucy were hanging out playing some sort of Roblox game together.

Clay went to the lake to fish and relax.

Yesterday afternoon I took Lucy, Elliott, and Madi Halloween costume shopping. Kat was hanging out with friends. 

Clay took these two couples to a Haunted House last night. Lucy and I happily went grocery shopping instead. I don’t do scary.
