Elliott is learning what the word "No" means and he is not too happy about it!

Don't you just want to squeeze those cheeks!?! The ones on his face, of course!

Elliott figured out how to clap. He loves to give high 5s!

Today we're off to Julia's Pre-K graduation parade. I am not ready to close this chapter of our lives and move on to "Big school"! Can I stop time!?! Pretty please?

Happy Anniversary!

Clay took the day off work for our anniversary (9 years- woot!). We went to Hubers with Mamaw and Bapaw and picked strawberries. It was a cool cloudy day and it was about the least crowded I've ever seen Hubers. It was great!

Proof that two goofy looking people can make cute kids

We just got home from Elliott's 9 month checkup. Chunky Monkey weighs 19 pounds, 11 ounces, and is 28 inches tall. He's average for both weight and height.

Fun with colored noodles!

Here's how to color noodles: Put noodles in a ziplock bag. Add 1t of rubbing alcohol (enough to wet the noodles) and food coloring. Shake the bags up to spread the liquid evenly. Leave sit awhile (the longer they sit, the brighter the color). Remove noodles from bag and place on paper towels to dry.

Belly laughs to brighten your day!

Last night Clay and Julia had a double date with Greg and Brody to see Walking with Dinosaurs. Julia's been counting down for weeks. I think it lived up to their expectations, other than it not being long enough! Julia especially loved the Allosaurus and the baby T-Rex.

Kat, Elliott, and I met Jill and Mollie at Chuck-E-Cheese and had a fun time.

Clay got home at 2:30am! Julia made this sign for the door.

The kids were so excited to see him this morning when they woke up! Kat said, "I am so happy to see you. You were in Mexico a long time." (He was in New Mexico)

Julia had her first t-ball game today. Patrick, her coach, is showing her how to hit the ball off the tee.

Tonight we had to take Clay's rental car back, so we took the kids to a park to play for awhile.

Any guesses what Elliott is doing? He's so discreet - not!

May 14

Last night I babysat Matthew and Jonathan. Elliott was very curious about Matthew.

Saw these at the grocery store today. They are so gross looking, even my girls didn't want them!

And then the drama began. Clay was supposed to fly from into Dallas to catch his connecting flight home today (have I mentioned that he's been gone for 2 weeks?). Dallas unfortunately got hit with some severe weather that delayed his flight for 3 hours. They changed him to a different flight, but later canceled it. Rather than spend the night in NM, he got a flight into Indianapolis and is going to drive home. He should be arriving around 3am. I think he must be REALLY homesick! I can't wait to see the kids' faces in the morning when they wake up and he is FINALLY home!

Since we had nothing to do tonight, we went to a local school's "Backyard Bash".
