Clay and I went to Hubers for lunch yesterday and then visited with Old Mamaw.

Grandpa and Lulu took the kids to a bakery yesterday and then Elliott and Grandpa went golfing. 

October 9

Lucy got a second piercing in each ear

Clay and I went to the zoo yesterday morning. Then he went golfing with Bapaw and Bob and I headed to work. Between walking with my neighbor, the zoo, and work, I got in over 19,000 steps yesterday!

A week ago I suggested to my boss that we should move an unused TV from a classroom to the Kids Ministry welcome desk. The youth group has a TV at their welcome area and it posts information about youth and upcoming events. The TV already got moved by the facilities guys! It’s not 100% ready, but it’s fun to see your ideas come to life! I guess I need to start making slides for it!

Clay and I painted each other. This was hilarious.

Lucy and Lulu got their nails done yesterday.

Elliott went golfing with Grandpa Tim and Uncle Stump. He sent me this picture to rub it in that he was eating a horseshoe. Turd.

October 6

The facilities guys at church hung hooks on the walls for us. This room is a thing of beauty. Well, maybe not. But it is organized now!

Fall decorations are up and the mums are planted. Bring on the cooler weather!

Our movie theatre has a “Secret movie” once a month. You pay $5 per ticket, not knowing what the movie will be. It is a movie that hasn’t been released yet. We decided last minute to go. I grabbed an ugly, comfortable shirt out of Clay’s closet, so he grabbed his ugly, beloved cardigan and off we went-looking like two homeless bums at the movies. We saw “Roofman”, which was decent. I was nervous the movie would be a horror movie and Clay was hoping it wouldn’t be a romantic comedy. Thankfully it was neither.

October 5

Kat is on fall break. Since she was just home last weekend, she went home with a friend from school. They went fishing.

October 4

Grandpa and Lulu took Elliott, Lucy, and Maddy to Top Golf today. They also took them to a town’s bicentennial celebration. 

October 3

Elliott, Lucy, and I met Grandpa and Lulu in Indiana so they could go spend their fall break in Illinois. When I got home, Clay and I headed to the golf course. He golfed, I walked. There were a lot of deer on the course. 

October 2

Jeff, Meghan, and I spent around 7 hours pulling everything out of the VBS rec closet to organize it. This is the before picture. You couldn’t walk in the room.

This was everything we pulled out of the Rec closet.

It’s nearly done. We need to get mesh bags for the balls. The Facilities guys are going to put some hooks on the walls to hang the hula hoops and balls so we can clear a lot of stuff off the floor. 

Elliott went to FCA after school.

Clay ordered a new exterior passenger sliding door handle for my van. It broke a couple of years ago. He wanted to replace it last night. I didn’t do much, but when he has a project, he likes me to be close by. So I sat and read. 

 

October 1

 Nonna headed home yesterday. 

 

I used the kids’ leaf artwork from a couple of weeks ago to decorate the glass window box at church.

Clay wanted to hit some golf balls last night before he played a round with Bapaw today.
