February 10

I helped with setup for the Night to Shine prom yesterday afternoon. After two years of delivering goody bags and having a drive-thru event, I am so glad we get to be in person again!

Lucy asked Elliott to make her a blanket ladder at woodworking. She paid him for it. He did a great job!

The wind last night knocked our power out for about an hour. These three had fun outside until it got cold and dark.

February 9

Lucy and I were at a pet store yesterday afternoon. We were looking at the lizards when an employee told Lucy not move. Next thing we know, he took out a bearded dragon and put it on her shoulder! Of course, now she wants one.

Lucy spent HOURS making her Valentine box for co-op’s Valentine’s contest. I think her claw machine turned out pretty good.

February 7

My U.S. History class played a states and capitals review game. I called out a capital and they had to grab the post-it note with the correct state’s name.

Lucy’s Think class had to turn the towel over without taking their feet off it.

February 6

Elliott wrestled in the youth state wrestling meet yesterday. He pinned his first two opponents, got pinned by opponents three and four, and then beat his fifth opponent in points. He ended up 5th place. He wrestled hard and had a good season.

After church, Lucy spent the day playing with Ava and Nadia. They coordinated outfits.

February 4

Clay took Kat and Julia to dinner last night


Tonight he took Elliott and Lucy to a trampoline park.

Julia and Kat went prom dress shopping with friends. Kat isn’t planning to go to prom, but had fun tagging along and trying in dresses. 

Me? I was home alone for hours and it was fantastic!

February 3

We had another fun game night social for the middle and high schoolers at co-op.

Look who’s back! Traveling always wear the old man out. He grabbed lunch, a movie theatre popcorn, and a Polar pop, and came home and laid in bed for most of the day.

February 1

Clay left for Washington, D.C. yesterday for work for a couple of days. Lucy tried to keep him from leaving.

Gus tried to keep the kids from doing schoolwork.

The weather did keep Julia from going to school (canceled for icy roads). Kat also wasn’t able to go to school, but her classes met online.
