February 5

We spent the day at Epcot:

Either Bapaw lost his balance or he is practicing his rap star look. It was also really tiring pushing Mamaw around in the stroller all day. Some people will do anything to avoid walking! :P

Breakfast in Norway with the Princesses (meeting Mary Poppins was a highlight for me)

Elliott, ready for his first 3D movie - Captain EO. He was excited when he found out it was Michael Jackson

The kids ate their weight in Mickey Mouse ice cream bars.

We ate a yummy dinner at the Garden Grill revolving restaurant with Chip n Dale, Mickey, and Pluto

February 4

 Bapaw lost his spot

The opening at Magic Kingdom. It makes me all verklempt. Don't judge.

#4 was pooped (or #2ed?)

 Meeting Merida (Brave)

 The White Rabbit

Stroller Parking - I recommend putting a ribbon or something on your stroller to identify it.

Wishes parade - where else can you wait 30+ minutes for a 15 minute parade?

Kat and Julia rode alot of bigger rides this time (including Space Mountain and Everest)  - Clay was very proud!

We ate a yummy dinner at Ohana (the Polynesian resort). As we were leaving the restaurant, Kat and Elliott noticed this tiki's butt.

Elliott loved touching all the characters noses.

Elliott is no Prince Charming

Meeting Rapunzel was a highlight for Julia

February 3

Aunt Susie arrived on the same plane we left on! It is a small world after all!

Lucy did great on her first plane ride

Kat and Mamaw

The airplane was one of Elliott's favorite parts of the trip (that and the monorail)

Our home for the week (Port Orleans Riverside)

 Smores
Kids were a little excited to be at Disney World!

February 2

It's kind of weird to pack for 70 degree weather (Orlando) when it's only 20 degrees outside (home). But I sucked it up (I know, you feel so sorry for me) and got the job done.

Lucy was helping me pack... so helpful.

In between packing I decided to go to the clinic for a sinus headache/ear pressure I have had for the last 3 days. Turns out I have a sinus infection. Glad to get the antibiotics, etc started before our trip. Praying the airplane pressure won't hurt my ears.

I won't be posting any pictures on here until we get home. Have a fun week - we sure will try!

February 1

Yesterday afternoon we knocked out several science projects. We have been studying mollusks (clams, muscles, oysters, gastropods, and the other ocean critters that give us seashells). It wasn't our intention to do a bunch in one day, but the girls were excited about it, so we just kept going. I love seeing them excited about learning!

First we did an experiment on air resonance (it's what makes the "ocean" sound in large seashells). I didn't get pictures because the girls were naked. I swear they start out the day in clothes, but we have some sort of clothes-eating monster in this house (it lives in the bathroom).

Then we completed a mollusk for their ocean box:

Top of the box (seals and a dolphin)

Inside of the box (stingray, muscle, crab, shark, sea turtle, school of fish, and a sea snake)

And finally, we made a Conchology box and put some of the shells we collected from our September beach vacation in it.
